Besides Witness, who are some of your favorite artists/musical influences? I love listening to Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Kutless, Casting Crowns…..there are many more, but those are probably at the top of my list. Biggest influence on my playing style would be Danny Seraphine, the original drummer for Chicago, but I try to pick little things up from every drummer I listen to, famous or not. What’s the most important thing you’d like people to know about your relationship with Jesus Christ? I’m just thankful that He allows me to serve Him through music. It combines the two biggest passions in my life. Why do you think Christian music is important? It’s a way to reach people at places other than church, and to get the message of Jesus Christ to people who may not hear it anywhere else. What do you like to do when you’re not playing music? If I’m not playing it, I’m usually listening to it. All CCM….I no longer even listen to secular music. CCM covers every genre of music out there, so there’s always something new to explore. What person has influenced you most in your faith? How? My mother. She was the most spiritual person I’ve known in my life. She was in Bible study groups her entire life, with an undying thirst to know more about God’s word, and had truly remarkable faith. What are you working on right now…personally? Trying to become the person the Lord wants me to be.
